IECD is launching the Green Culinary Arts Manila project, a vocational training pathway in culinary arts designed for vulnerable young women aged 18–24. The initiative builds on IECD’s proven Hospitality Catering Training Center model from Mae Sot, Thailand, adapted for the Philippine context.

They are looking for a Senior Technical Expert to design and help launch the program, starting with a 3-month pilot cohort (no later than September 2026) and laying the groundwork for a long-term 10–12 month qualification program aligned with TESDA standards.

The assignment (5 months):

  • Phase 1 (2 months): Curriculum development using a Competency-Based Approach, integrating a strong green/sustainability component
  • Phase 2 (3 months): Hands-on delivery to the first cohort, Training of Trainers, and progressive handover to local trainers

They are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in culinary arts (professional kitchens, hospitality, or restaurants)
  • A track record in curriculum development and training program design
  • Good knowledge of French culinary techniques
  • Experience with competency-based training and Training of Trainers (ToT)
  • Bonus: experience with vulnerable populations, in Southeast Asia, or in sustainable/responsible cooking

To apply: Send a CV, a brief list of relevant assignments, and a financial proposal (lump-sum fee for the full 5-month assignment) to thom.tran-esnoul@iecd.org by 30 June 2026.
