On Tuesday, September 2, the Lycée Français de Manille (LFM) celebrated its back-to-school day and officially opened the 2025–2026 school year. More than 300 students, accompanied by their parents, were welcomed in the auditorium in the presence of the French Ambassador, Her Excellency Marie Fontanel; the new Principal, Mr. Nicolas Bois; and the new Primary School Academic Coordinator, Mrs. Stéphanie Beauvais.

After a well-deserved summer break, the school community was delighted to welcome back students for what promises to be another exciting year.

This school year also marks the arrival of Mr. Cédric Lepaysan, the new Director of Administration and Finance, who joins Mr. Bois as part of LFM’s new leadership team.

At LFM, teachers from around the world come together in Manila to deliver a curriculum approved by the French Ministry of Education. On the 2-hectare Eurocampus, shared with the German European School Manila (GESM), students benefit from state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities, including swimming pools, a gymnasium, science laboratories, a theater, and sports fields. From kindergarten to high school, and starting as early as age 2, the school offers a dynamic and enriching educational experience.

With personalized, progressive learning plans, “French as a Foreign Language” teachers support non-French-speaking students in integrating into the French education system.

Alongside French, students also study a wide range of languages — English, German, Spanish, and Latin — making the LFM a unique choice for European language proficiency in Manila.
