MAKATI, Philippines (October 8, 2024) – The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines (CCIFP) organized an exclusive networking luncheon hosted by their Energy and Renewable Energy Committee (E/RE), featuring Undersecretary Dr. Rowena Cristina Guevara of the Department of Energy (DOE).

Sector frontrunners convened at the Narra Hall in BDO Tower Valero to exchange views on the latest developments in renewable energy and how such could impact the Philippines in the years ahead.

Dr. Guevara kicked off the session with a comprehensive look at the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) alongside revised guidelines, target updates, and key developments in the sector. Mr. Eduardo Francisco, President of BDO Capital and Investment Corporation, spoke about the challenges of financing renewable energy projects across the nation. Ms. Rowena Dalosa, General Manager of ENGIE Services Philippines, conducted analytical dialogue between the speakers and the guests, wrapping up the luncheon with discourse on hydrogen development and alternative energy.
