MANILA, Philippines — From Palawan to the Universe, Jewelmer is made history in the 73rd Miss Universe pageant as the first crafter of a Filipino-made Miss Universe crown.
Prestigious Philippine jewelry brand, Jewelmer crafted the “Light of Infinity” crown, which graced the head of the next Miss Universe.
The crown showcased 23 Philippine South Sea pearls—regarded as the nation’s gem—arranged in a design of gold and diamonds. At its heart, a solitary golden pearl shines like the radiant sun, surrounded by diamond-studded waves.
Sourced from the pristine waters of Palawan, a single South Sea pearl takes 377 steps and about five years to produce. Even with perfect execution, there is no guarantee of a successful harvest, as much of the process is influenced by nature.
Jacques Christophe Branellec, CEO of Jewelmer, remarked that the Lumière de l’Infini is more than just a piece of jewelry. “It embodies the pride of the Filipino people, and Jewelmer’s dedication to excellence and sustainability.”
Jewelmer pioneered the sustainable cultivation of the South Sea pearl. By nurturing oysters in protected environments, Jewelmer enhances marine life and supports coastal communities.
