Manila, August 21, 2024 — As part of the French Volunteering Day 2024 celebrations, France Volontaires – Philippines is calling on Filipinos and Francophones residing in the Philippines to participate in a special initiative highlighting the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF)’s missions and its connection to volunteerism.
The organization invites submissions that showcase how the OIF’s work aligns with the spirit of volunteerism. Interested participants have until September 20, 2024, to submit their entries. Selected pieces will be featured in an exhibition at the Alliance Française de Manille’s Gallery.
The winners of this creative challenge will be announced on French Volunteering Day, October 4, 2024. This year’s theme for the day is “Francophonie: In Service to All,” emphasizing the commitment to global solidarity and the impactful role of volunteers.
French Volunteering Day celebrates the dedication of volunteers worldwide, and this year’s event will be organized by France Volontaires Philippines in collaboration with the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia and the Alliance Française de Manille. The event aims to highlight the essential contributions of volunteers in fostering international solidarity.
